UK Compliance & Safety
How BONK-ON is regulated, why a consultation is required, and how to verify our pharmacy credentials.
The online consultation requirement
In the United Kingdom, sildenafil — the active ingredient in BONK-ON — is classified as a prescription-only medicine (POM). This means a licensed clinician must assess your suitability before it can be dispensed. The online consultation is the legal pathway that replaces an in-person GP or pharmacy visit.
Every order requires a fresh consultation. You will complete a short, confidential medical questionnaire covering your symptoms, current medications, and any heart, liver, or kidney conditions. A UK-registered clinician reviews your answers, usually within a few hours, and if appropriate issues a prescription authorisation.
There are no video calls or appointments needed. The whole process takes about two minutes, but the clinical check is the same standard a GP or pharmacist would apply face-to-face.
Prescription medicine vs. Viagra Connect
Viagra Connect is a specific brand of sildenafil (50 mg) that can be bought without a traditional prescription from a UK pharmacy after a brief consultation with a pharmacist. It is not “off the shelf” — the consultation is still mandatory.
BONK-ON follows the same regulated pathway, but the consultation happens online rather than across a pharmacy counter. The medication is dispensed by a licensed UK pharmacy, and the same clinical checks apply. The difference is convenience: you can complete the assessment from your phone and have the medication delivered discreetly to your door.
Neither product can legally be supplied without some form of clinical screening. Any website offering sildenafil with no questions asked is operating illegally and should be avoided.
Regulatory bodies & how to verify us
BONK-ON is dispensed by a UK pharmacy registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), the independent regulator for pharmacists and pharmacy premises in Great Britain. The pharmacy is also regulated by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), which ensures medicines meet safety, quality, and efficacy standards.
Verify the pharmacy
You can check that any UK pharmacy is genuine by searching the GPhC register:
GPhC register → pharmacyregulation.org/registersMHRA guidance
The MHRA provides public guidance on buying medicines safely online and how to spot illegal sellers:
MHRA website → gov.uk/mhraNHS advice on erectile dysfunction
The NHS has impartial information on ED treatments, when to see a GP, and what to expect from sildenafil:
NHS ED information → nhs.uk/conditions/erection-problemsSafety information & who should not use BONK-ON
BONK-ON is for adult men aged 18 and over only. It is not suitable for everyone. You must answer the consultation questionnaire honestly so the clinician can make an accurate assessment.
Do not use BONK-ON if any of the following apply:
- You take nitrate medications (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide mononitrate) for chest pain or heart conditions
- You use guanylate cyclase stimulators (e.g., riociguat)
- You have been advised by a doctor to avoid sexual activity due to cardiovascular risk
- You have severe heart, liver, or kidney disease
- You have very low blood pressure (hypotension) or uncontrolled high blood pressure
- You have had a stroke, heart attack, or life-threatening arrhythmia within the past 6 months
- You have a known allergy or hypersensitivity to sildenafil or any ingredient listed on the product label
- You use recreational drugs known as “poppers” (amyl or butyl nitrite)
Combining sildenafil with nitrates or recreational nitrites can cause a sudden, dangerous drop in blood pressure that may be life-threatening.
Possible side effects
Commonly reported side effects of sildenafil include:
- Headache or migraine
- Facial flushing or warmth
- Indigestion, acid reflux, or stomach discomfort
- Nasal congestion or runny nose
- Dizziness or lightheadedness
- Changes in vision (blurred vision, increased light sensitivity, or temporary blue/green colour tint)
- Back pain or muscle aches
Seek emergency medical attention immediately if you experience: an erection lasting more than 4 hours (priapism); chest pain, pressure, or discomfort; sudden severe headache; sudden loss of vision in one or both eyes; sudden hearing loss or ringing in the ears; severe dizziness or fainting; or signs of an allergic reaction (rash, itching, swelling of the face/lips/tongue, difficulty breathing).

If you are declined during the consultation, you will be advised to speak to your own doctor. No prescription is issued, and no charge is taken for the medication.
